Clause = Subject + Verb      Clause is a combination of words which contains subject and a verb. It may be a complete sentence or part of a sentence that conveys proper meaning. It is quite different from a phrase where the subject-verb combination is not necessary.       Types of clauses   1.     Independent clause   2.     Dependent clause     1.   Independent clause:  (also known as main clause, conjoining clause, principal clause, and co-ordinate clause) it can stand independently             E.g.
